OF RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Kelli Hammitt is a member of Glendale’s 388th Composite Squadron and holds
the rank of First Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the Civil Air Patrol is Supporting America's communities with
emergency response, diverse aviation and ground services, youth development, and promotion
of air, space and cyber power; and
WHEREAS, Kelli Hammitt is a distinguished Nurse with over 30 years of experience; and
WHEREAS, Kelli Hammitt was called to the scene and arrived within moments of the
shootings to provide lifesaving emergency aide to a critically injured male victim before Police
were able to secure the scene allowing Paramedics access to the victims: and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Jerry P. Weiers, Mayor of the city of Glendale, Arizona, on behalf of
the City Council, do hereby recognize
Kelli Hammitt
for courageous actions and calm bravery that saved lives on May 20th.
