CITY OF GLENDALE
WHEREAS, DeMolay International is an organization dedicated to preparing young men
to lead successful, happy, and productive lives; and
WHEREAS, DeMolay opens doors for young men aged 12 to 21 by developing their civic
awareness, personal responsibility, and leadership skills; and
WHEREAS, the Glendale Chapter, Arizona Jurisdiction of the Order of DeMolay provides
its members with the opportunity to develop lasting friendships though fun activities and
service projects; and
WHEREAS, DeMolay counts among its Senior Members a Medal of Honor recipient,
professional athletes, and a President of the United States; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Jerry P. Weiers, Mayor of the City of Glendale, Arizona, do
hereby proclaim March 2015 as
DeMolay International Month
and urge all citizens to salute the young men of the Order of DeMolay and express
appreciation for the fine examples they set by contributing to the welfare of our community.
