CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Weiers called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

Vice Mayor Malnar attended telephonically.
Councilmember Aldama joined the meeting telephonically after the roll was called.

MOTION AND CALL TO ENTER INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION
A motion was made by Councilmember Joyce Clark, seconded by Councilmember Lauren
Tolmachoff to hold an executive session.

Council entered into executive session at 10:01 a.m. for discussion and or consultation, to consider its
position, and to provide instruction/direction regarding the appointment of the Presiding Judge and
discussion/consultation for legal advice with the City Attorney pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(1)(3).

NEW BUSINESS
1. RESOLUTION NO. R20-104
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY,
ARIZONA, DECLARING THE OFFICIAL CANVASS OF VOTES CAST IN THE CITY OF
GLENDALE PRIMARY ELECTION HELD AUGUST 4,2020; DECLARING THE ELECTION OF
THE MAYOR AND THREE COUNCILMEMBERS; AND ORDERING THAT A CERTIFIED COPY
OF THE RESOLUTION BE RECORDED.
Presented by: Julie K. Bower, City Clerk
Ms. Bower read the resolution by title. She said A.R.S. 16-642 required the governing body
holding an election to meet and canvass the election no less than six days nor more than twenty
days following the election. Ms, Bower said staff was requesting acceptance of the canvass.
A motion was made by Councilmember Joyce Clark, seconded by Councilmember Lauren
Tolmachoff to adopt Resolution No. R20-104.
