Mayor Renner called to order the Workshop Session of GlendaleCityCouncilinConferenceRoomB-3 of the Council Chambers. Council members present were: Bellah, Huffman, Tolby, andHugh. Members Absent: Heatwole and Falbo. Council Retreat: Goals for FY 1988-89TimehasbeensetasideintheApril5th Council Retreat forafollow-up discussion of Council Goals for 1988-89. BasedontheCouncils' comments at the March lst workshop, staffhasrewrittenthegoalsstatement. Scott Lazenby, Budget and Management Director, gave a brief
presentation.
Fiscal Stability
Mayor Renner asked what "c" meant. Mr. Lazenby stated this
was a proposal for council to consider to get us through
tough times but will segregate the kinds of revenues that are
stable from the ones that aren't.
Mayor Renner asked if this was broad enough to include the
expiration of some of the new revenue sources in the survey.
Mr. Lazenby said it was.
Planning
Mayor Renner stated (a) should be revised to include to adopt
and implement a revised General Plan.
Arts and Culture
Council agreed to reword (b) to include other jurisdictions -
community colleges and other schools.
This item will be placed on an agenda for the Budget
Committee
