Bob page and Gloria Santiago have been working on a
Long Range Art Plan. The Plan includes proposed
art projects broken down by year. The Long Range
Plan is composed of the Arts Commission's various
ideas about different projects. The Budget
Department has given a Five Year Capital
Improvement Project Budget for the entire City.
From that Budget, art contributions must be
identified. The Capital Improvement Project Budget
has just been finalized but has not been approved
by the City Council. The final Long Range Plan
will be presented in the October meeting.
A motion was made by Bob Page that the Arts
Commission designate the location where Arts
Commission purchases, gifts, or loans will be
placed for display. Art should be displayed in
City owned facilities in locations where the art
work will have public exposure. The location of
the art collection will be reviewed every six
months. The motion was seconded by Dr. Atkins, and
carried unanimously. An inventory designating the
location of the current art collection will be
presented at the October meeting.
Redeane Widom and Tom Shadoin reported on the
progress of the Library construction. Mr. Shadoin
reported on Suzanne Dolesch for a wall mural in the
children's area and for the time line on the
history of man. Ms. Widom reported she would like
to purchase "Carousel Horses Sculpture" for the
children's area with the donation from the Glendale
Women's Club. The Women's Club donated $1,000.

interested in supplementing the other horses.
