B. The Francis Beaugureau painting will be presented at the
April 25th City Council Workshop at 3:00 p.m. The Arts
Commissioners are requested to attend the meeting.
C. Mr. Page reported that Bill Nebeker, Gary Niblett, and
Pat Haptonstall are interested in doing an "Arizona
Ranger" for the Headquarters Public Safety Building. Mr.
Nebeker suggested a one and half time life-size standing
ranger. The approximate cost would be $50,000.
D. The Reflecting Pool at the Public Library has been
repaired. The cost of the repair was $277. The
Southwest Conservation Center has not been able to be
reached to confirm their repair of "Glendale Pioneers,

Museum for further information.
New Business
A. The Commission reviewed a request to move the Robert
McCall painting "Arizona Promise" to the Glendale Airport
during the Balloon Races. The races will be held at the
Airport in November. Because of the number of people
that attend city council and other public meetings and
have the opportunity to view the painting, the Arts
Commission recommended leaving the art work in the City
Council Chambers.
B. The commission reviewed a request by artist Tim Tyler to
loan his painting "An August -September Evening" to the
City for a period of six months.
The Commission has declined similar requests in the past
from other artists and will continue with this
procedure. It was recommended that art acquisition be
acquired through process the Commission has set. The
process is that art be acquired with a specific building
or project.
