Bower, City Clerk Sheryl Rabin, Deputy City Clerk CALL TO ORDER Mayor Weiers reconvened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. POSTING OF COLORS The Colors were posted by the Glendale Fire Department Honor Guard NATIONAL ANTHEM The National Anthem was performed by Dr. Mai -Ly Duong. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE PRAYER/INVOCATION The invocation was offered by Reverend Kim Gladding, First United Methodist Church, Glendale. WELCOME Mayor Weiers welcomed everyone to the installation of the newly -elected members of Council. OATH OF OFFICE The Oath of Office was administered to Councilmember-elect Jamie Aldama, Ocotillo District, by The Honorable Manuel Delgado, Judge, Glendale City Court. Councilmember Aldama thanked the residents of the Ocotillo District for returning him to office and for the honor and privilege of serving them. He also thanked his wife and family and everyone who had supported him throughout the campaign. Councilmember Aldama looked forward to continuing to work with his Council colleagues. The Oath of Office was administered to Councilmember-elect Lauren Tolmachoff, Cholla District, by The Honorable Elizabeth R. Finn, Presiding Judge, Glendale City Court. Vice Mayor Tolmachoff thanked the residents of the Cholla District for returning her to office. She thanked her husband for his patience and support during her first term in office. She said the City was made up of City Council Meeting Minutes - December 11, 2018 Page 2 of 3 people who wanted to serve the community. Vice Mayor Tolmachoff said the City was thriving and much had been accomplished. She said Council was focused on moving the City forward and looked forward to continuing to serve the community. The Oath of Office was administered to Councilmember-elect Bart Turner, Barrel District, by The Honorable Quentin Tolby, Judge, Maricopa County Justice Court. Councilmember Turner thanked everyone who had supported him and all of the volunteers that helped with his campaign. He said there had been many successes over the past four years and there were still important things that needed to be accomplished. Councilmember Turner looked forward to serving with the other members of Council.
