Call to Order — Police Board
Charles Erickson, Acting Chair, called to order the Local Police Board meeting at 9:11 a.m.
Review and Approval of the July 27, 2016 Local Police Board Meeting Minutes
The minutes of the July 27, 2016 Local Police Board meeting were reviewed. Officer Justin Harris moved to
accept the minutes as presented. Officer Cody Carmichael seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed
the motion unanimously.
Review and Approval of Application for Enrollment into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan
("D.R.O.P.") — Lori Lynn Hauserman
The Local Police Board reviewed Lori Lynn Hauserman's D.R.O.P. Enrollment Application. Lori Lynn
Hauserman, Police Officer, has 27.418 years of credited service. She has elected to participate in the D.R.O.P.
on August 12, 2016. She chose to participate in the D.R.O.P. for a period of sixty (60) months. She must
terminate employment with the City of Glendale Police Department on or before August 31, 2021. She has
been a member of the Glendale Police Department since March 13, 1989. The action requested of the Board
is to approve the Application for Enrollment into D.R.O.P. Retirement submitted by Lori Lynn Hauserman,
Police Officer.
Officer Justin Harris moved to approve the Application for Enrollment in D.R.O.P. Retirement submitted by
Lori Lynn Hauserman, Police Officer. Officer Cody Carmichael seconded the motion. The motion passed
unanimously.

Review and Approval of Application for Retirement from the Deferred Retirement Option Plan
("D.R.O.P.") — Larry Dallmann
The Local Police Board reviewed Larry Dallmann's D.R.O.P. Retirement Application. Larry Dallmann,
Police Officer, has elected to retire from the D.R.O.P. and terminate his employment with the Glendale Police
Department on December 31, 2016. On November 16, 2011, the Local Police Board had approved an
Application for Enrollment into D.R.O.P. effective December 7, 2011. At that time, he had completed 27.156
years of credited service. He was required to terminate employment with the City of Glendale Police
Department on or before December 31, 2016. Larry Dallmann is eligible to retire from the D.R.O.P. and to
receive a Lump Sum distribution. He will begin receiving his normal retirement pension on or about January
31, 2017. The action requested of the Board is to approve the Application for Retirement from the D.R.O.P.
and Lump Sum distribution for Larry Dallmann, Police Officer.
Officer Justin Harris moved to approve the Application for Retirement from the D.R.O.P. submitted by Larry
Dallmann, Police Officer Officer Cody Carmichael seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the
motion unanimously.
Review and Approval of Application for Retirement from the Deferred Retirement Option Plan
("D.R.O.P.") — Dennis Duane Trier, Jr.
The Local Police Board reviewed Dennis Duane Trier, Jr.'s D.R.O.P. Retirement Application. Dennis Duane
Trier, Jr., Police Officer, has elected to retire from the D.R.O.P. and terminate his employment with the
Glendale Police Department on October 3, 2016. On February 22, 2012, the Local Police Board had approved
an Application for Enrollment into D.R.O.P. effective April 28, 2012. At that time, he had completed 23.00
years of credited service. He was required to terminate employment with the City of Glendale Police
Department on or before April 30, 2017. Dennis Duane Trier, Jr. is eligible to retire from the D.R.O.P. and to
receive a Lump Sum distribution. He will begin receiving his normal retirement pension on or about October
31, 2016. The action requested of the Board is to approve the Application for Retirement from the D.R.O.P.
and Lump Sum distribution for Dennis Duane Trier, Jr., Police Officer.
Officer Justin Harris moved to approve the Application for Retirement from the D.R.O.P. submitted by Dennis
Duane Trier, Jr., Police Officer. Officer Cody Carmichael seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed
the motion unanimously.
Commencement of Executive Session — 9:15 a.m.
Charles Erickson, Acting Chair, asked for a motion to enter into Executive Session. Officer Justin Harris
made the motion and Officer Cody Carmichael seconded the motion. The motion was unanimous.
Review and Consider Acceptance of Four (4) New Police Personnel into the Public Safety Personnel
Retirement System (PSPRS)
The Board reviewed the medical evaluations submitted for the four (4) new Police Personnel.
Adiourn Executive Session — 9:18 a.m.
Charles Erickson, Acting Chair, asked for a motion to adjourn Executive Session and reconvene in Open
Session. Officer Justin Harris made the motion and Officer Cody Carmichael seconded the motion. The
motion was unanimous.

Consider and Vote on Adminssion of Four (4) New Police Personnel for Membership into the PSPRS
with Any Pre -Existing Conditions Noted
Police Officer Michele Blanco stated for the record that each of the following new personnel met the standards
of the Glendale Police Department and the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board:
Cody James Baxter
Javier Figueroa
Moroni Mendez
Jessica Dawn Shank
Officer Justin Harris made a motion to accept the applications of the following Police personnel into the
PSPRS with any pre-existing conditions noted:

Moroni Mendez
Jessica Dawn Shank
Officer Cody Carmichael seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously.
New Business
There was no new business.

Charles Erickson, Acting Chair, asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Officer Justin Harris made a
motion to adjourn the meeting. Officer Cody Carmichael seconded the motion. The Local Police Board
meeting adjourned at 9:21 a.m.
