Call to Order
Charles Erickson, Acting Chair, called to order the Local Police Board meeting at 9:04 a.m.
Review and Approval of the January 28,2015 Local Police Board Meeting Minutes
The minutes of the January 28, 2015 Local Police Board meeting were reviewed. Mayor Jerry Weiers moved
to accept the minutes as presented. Officer Justin Harris seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed
the motion unanimously.
Review and Approval of Application for Retirement from the Deferred Retirement Option Plan
("D.R.O.P.")—Lawrence S. Shipe
The Local Police Board reviewed Lawrence S. Shipe's D.R.O.P. retirement application. Lawrence S. Shipe,
Police Officer, has elected to retire from the D.R.O.P. and terminate his employment with the Glendale Police
Department on April 9, 2015. On April 28, 2010, the Local Police Board had approved an Application for
Enrollment in D.R.O.P. submitted by Lawrence S. Shipe. At that time, he had completed 26.004 years of
credited service. Upon approval of his participation into the D.R.O.P., employee and employer contributions
ceased to be made to the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System. He was required to terminate
employment with the City of Glendale Police Department on or before April 30, 2015. Lawrence S. Shipe is
eligible to retire from the D.R.O.P. and to receive a Lump Sum distribution. He will begin receiving his
normal retirement pension on or about May 31, 2015. The action requested of the Board is to approve the
Application for Retirement from the. D.R.O.P. and Lump Sum distribution for Lawrence S. Shipe, Police
Officer.
Officer Justin Harris moved to approve the D.R.O.P. retirement application submitted by Lawrence S. Shipe,
Police Officer. Mayor Jerry Weiers seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion
unanimously.

Commencement of Executive Session
Charles Erickson, Acting Chair, recessed the Open Session and convened into Executive Session to review
and discuss the medical evaluations of three (3) new Police personnel.
Reconvened into Open Session
The Board adjourned Executive Session and reconvened into Open Session to vote on the admission of three
(3) Police personnel into the PSPRS with any pre-existing conditions noted on the medical evaluations.
Michele Blanco affirmed that all of the new Police personnel met the standards of the Glendale Police
Department and the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board.
Officer Justin Harris made a motion to accept the application of the following Police person into the PSPRS
with any pre-existing conditions noted:
Jeffery Myron Hasch
Mayor Jerry Weiers seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously.

Mayor Jerry Weiers seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously.

Mayor Jerry Weiers seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously.

There was no new business.

Charles Erickson, Acting Chair, asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Officer Justin Harris made a
motion to adjourn the meeting. Mayor Jerry Weiers seconded the motion. The Local Police Board meeting
was adjourned at 9:12 a.m.
