Glendale Ave. Glendale, AZ MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Jerry Weiers, Chair Larry Clark, Citizen Board Member Capt. Mark Manor, Board Member STAFF PRESENT: Jim Brown, Executive Director Human Resources and Board Secretary Nick DiPiazza, Chief Deputy City Attorney Marcia Zientek, Human Resources Support Staff MEMBERS ABSENT: City Manager Brenda S. Fischer, Board Member Capt. Joe Hester, Board Member Call to Order A Joint Meeting of PSPRS Fire and Police Boards Mayor Jerry Weiers called to order a joint meeting of the PSPRS Fire and Police Boards at 9:03 a.m. Recognition of Service and Achievements of Larry Clark Mayor Weiers presented Larry Clark, Citizen Board Member, with a plaque and card thanking him for his eight years of service to both the PSPRS Police Board and the PSPRS Fire Board. Mayor Weiers recognized the knowledge and commitment Mr. Clark brought to the board meetings and that he would certainly be missed. Capt. Mark Manor presented Mr. Clark with a Challenge Coin on behalf of the Glendale Fire Department. Mr. Clark responded that he has enjoyed his eight years as a member of the PSPRS Fire and Police Boards and will miss everyone. Adiournment Mayor Weiers adjourned the joint meeting of the Police and Fire Boards. The joint meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m. Call to Order Mayor Weiers called to order the Local Fire Board meeting at 9:11 a.m. Administration of Loyalty Oath Mayor Weiers administered the Loyalty Oath to Capt. Mark Manor for the PSPRS Local Fire Board. Capt. Manor was reelected to the Fire Board by the Fire Department's membership. Page I of 2 PSPRS Local Fire Board Meeting Minutes 6/25/14 Review and Annroval of the Mav 28.2014 Local Fire Board Meeting Minutes The minutes of the May 28, 2014 Local Fire Board meeting were reviewed. Capt. Mark Manor moved to accept the minutes as presented. Larry Clark seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously. Review and Approval of Application for Enrollment into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan ("D.R.O.P.") — Clyde Fredin The Local Fire Board reviewed Clyde Fredin's D.R.O.P. Enrollment Application. Clyde Fredin, Fire Engineer, has 25.022 years of credited service. He has elected to participate in the D.R.O.P. on July 12, 2014. He must terminate employment with the City of Glendale Fire Department on or before July 12, 2019. Clyde Fredin has been a member of the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System since July 5, 1994. The action requested of the Board is to approve the Application for Enrollment into the D.R.O.P. Retirement submitted by Clyde Fredin, Fire Engineer. Capt. Mark Manor made a motion to approve the D.R.O.P. Enrollment Application submitted by Clyde Fredin, Fire Engineer. Larry Clark seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously. New Business Nick DiPiazza, Chief Deputy City Attorney, recommended that at the next joint meeting of the PSPRS Fire and Police Boards, a review of the Open Meeting Law and Public Records Requests be done. He asked that it be put on as an agenda item for the joint meeting. Adiournment Mayor Jerry Weiers asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Capt.
