FINAL MINUTES CALL TO ORDER—6 p.m. II. ROLL CALL: Present- Commissioners Robert Gehl, Paul Romanek, Ruth Faulls, Roger Schwierjohn, John Sipple, Vice-chair Jonathan Liebman, and Chair Ron Short Staff: Javier Setovich, John Henny, Mark Fortkamp, Jacques Brados, Doug Kupel, Joetta Miller, Tom Gill, Kern Logan, Thomas Relucio, and Sally Melling III. CALL TO THE AUDIENCE — Chair Ron Short reviewed the opportunity for audience members of the public to address the Water Services Advisory Commission. No audience members accepted. Commission members and staff introduced themselves and welcomed the newest member, Commissioner John Sipple. IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF DECEMBER 4, 2013 — Motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes. Voice approval was unanimous. Action: Approved by unanimous vote V. WASTEWATER CCTV TRUCK ANALYSIS - PRESENTATION—Mark Fortkamp, Water Services Superintendent, provided information on the camera truck used by WasteWater Collection to maintain sewer lines: Hydro clean Control odors Control roach program Inspection program CCTV program • Glendale voluntarily enrolled in CMOM program (Capacity, Management, Operations, and Maintenance Plan) to better manage and maintain system • 490 miles of 8"pipe • Oldest pipe in city dated 1917, replaced in 2012 City of Glendale Water Services Department•7070 West Northern Avenue•Glendale,AZ 85303•(623)930-4100 January 8, 2014 Water Services Advisory Commission Final Minutes Page 2 Questions and requests for further information: Listing of Capital Improvement budget to pinpoint money available Categorization of Wastewater Collection system age SSO average cost estimate: staff time and fuel charges Action: No action taken,information only VI.
