PRESENT: Mayor Jerry P. Weiers,Vice Mayor Yvonne J. Knaack and Councilmembers,
Ian Hugh, Manuel D. Martinez, and Samuel U. Chavira
ALSO PRESENT: Brenda Fischer, City Manager; Nick DiPiazza, Deputy City Attorney;
and Donna Brown
CALL TO ORDER
1. CALL TO ENTER INTO AN EXECUTIVE SESSION at 9:03 am.
Vice-Mayor Knaack moved and Councilmember Martinez seconded to enter into Executive
Session.
The motion passed unanimously.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
1. LEGAL MATTERS
A. The City Council will meet with Diane Miller, of the Law Offices of Diane M.
Miller, PLLC, for legal advice, discussion and consultation regarding City of
Glendale v. Bell& 63rd Investments, LLC. (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3)(4))
B. The City Council will meet with the City Attorney for legal advice, discussion and
consultation regarding the city's position in pending or contemplated litigation,
including settlement discussions conducted in order to avoid or resolve
litigation. (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3)(4))
The special workshop reconvened at 9:32 a.m. and a motion to adjourn was made by Vice
Mayor Knaack and seconded by Councilmember Chavira and the meeting was adjourned.
