GLENDALE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL WORKSHOP SESSION

1:30 p.m.
PRESENT: Mayor Jerry P. Weiers, Vice Mayor Yvonne J. Knaack and
Councilmembers Ian Hugh, Manuel D. Martinez, Gary D. Sherwood, and
Samuel U. Chavira
ABSENT: Councilmember Norma S. Alvarez
ALSO PRESENT: Brenda S. Fischer, City Manager; Russ Romney, Deputy City Attorney
Mayor Weiers called the meeting to order at 1:40 p.m.
Vice Mayor Knaack moved to enter into Executive Session. Councilmember Chavira seconded
the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Adjourned into Executive Session at 1:40 p.m.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AND MOMENT OF SILENCE
1. CALL TO ENTER INTO AN EXECUTIVE SESSION
EXECUTIVE SESSION
1. LEGAL MATTERS
A. The City Council will meet with Jose De Jesus Rivera, of Haralson, Miller, Pitt,
Feldman & McAnally, P.L.C. for legal advice, discussion and consultation regarding
the external audit. (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(2)(3))
2. PERSONNEL MATTERS
A. The City Council will meet to discuss and provide guidance to the Human Resources
Executive Director concerning the continuing process for the recruitment of the City
Attorney position. (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(1))
City Council reconvened into Workshop at 4:06 p.m.
Vice Mayor Knaack moved to adjourn the Workshop. Councilmember Chavira seconded the
motion. The motion carried unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 4:06 p.m.
