Call to Order
Chair Swander called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
II. Roll Call
Chair Swander conducted roll call. Chair Swander took the Oath of Office.
III. Approval of Meeting Minutes—June 20, 2013
[Committee-member Hudson entered the meeting.]
Committee-member Miller motioned to approve the June 20,2013 meeting minutes
as written. Committee-member Johnston made the second. The motion passed 9 —
0.
IV. Business from the Floor
None.
V. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Fiscal Year (FY) 2014-15 Annual
Action Plan Process and Tentative Schedule
Ms. Eirich-Palmisano presented information on the CDBG process and schedule.

Committee-member Miller motioned to approve the FY 2014-15 CDBG schedule as
presented with future changes to be made as necessary. The motion passed 9—0.
VI. Committee Comments and Suggestions
Chair Swander suggested that the information included in the CDBG grant binders be put
on a flash drive for ease of use, transportation and to save on paper costs. Ms. Eirich-
Palmisano will pursue this suggestion.
Chair Swander attended a district meeting held by his Councilmember and encouraged
the other Committee-members to attend one if possible.
Committee-member Miller is on the Board of the Citizens Police Academy and
encouraged the other Committee-members to research the various volunteer and academy
opportunities offered by the City.
Committee-member Johnston participated in the Citizens Police Academy and has lived
in Glendale for 24 years. Committee-member Johnston stated that this is her second term
on this Committee.
Committee-member Sanders has enjoyed sitting on the Committee and giving back to the
City.
Committee-member Ojeda is new on the Committee and looks forward to the year ahead.
Committee-member Torres has lived in Glendale his entire life. Committee-member
Torres would like the focus of the Committee to be supporting the agencies and groups
physically located in Glendale. Committee-member Torres stressed that there are a lot of
good things happening in the City.
VII. Adjournment
Committee-member Miller motioned to adjourn at 6:53 p.m. Committee-member
Johnston made the second. The motion passed 9—0.
