Glendale Ave. Glendale, AZ MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Clark, Citizen Board Member and Acting Chair City Manager Ed Beasley, Board Member Det. Brandon Keefer, Police Board Member STAFF PRESENT: Jim Brown, Assistant Human Resources Director and Acting Board Secretary Nick DiPiazza, Chief Deputy City Attorney Marcia Zientek, Human Resources Support Staff MEMBERS ABSENT: Mayor Elaine Scruggs, Chair Lt. John Wolfe, Police Board Member Call to Order Larry Clark, Acting Chair, called to order the Local Police Board meeting at 9:02 a.m. Review and Approval of the August 24,2011 Local Police Board Meeting Minutes The minutes of the August 24, 2011 Local Police Board meeting were reviewed. Det. Brandon Keefer moved to accept the minutes as presented. City Manager Ed Beasley seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously. Review and Approval of the Application for Enrollment into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan ("D.R.O.P.")—Larry Dallmann The Local Police Board reviewed Larry Dallmann's D.R.O.P. enrollment application. Larry Dallmann has 27.156 years of credited service. He has elected to participate in the D.R.O.P. on December 7, 2011. He chose to participate in the D.R.O.P. for a period of 60 months. The action requested of the Board is to approve the application for Enrollment in D.R.O.P. retirement submitted by Larry Dallmann, Police Officer. Det. Brandon Keefer moved to approve the D.R.O.P. enrollment application submitted by Larry Dallmann, Police Officer. City Manager Ed Beasley seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Page 1 of 3 PSPRS Local Police Board Meeting Minutes 11/16/2011 Review and Approval of the Application for Enrollment into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan ("D.R.O.P.")—Judy Ann Manning The Local Police Board reviewed Judy Ann Manning's D.R.O.P. enrollment application. Judy Ann Manning has 25.819 years of credited service. She has elected to participate in the D.R.O.P. on December 30, 2011. She chose to participate for a period of sixty (60) months. The action requested of the Board is to approve the application for enrollment in D.R.O.P. retirement submitted by Judy Ann Manning, Police Lieutenant. Det. Brandon Keefer moved to approve the D.R.O.P. enrollment application submitted by Judy Ann Manning, Police Lieutenant. City Manager Ed Beasley seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Review and Approval of the Application for Enrollment into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan ("D.R.O.P.")—Michael D. Michelsen The Local Police Board reviewed Michael D. Michelsen's D.R.O.P. enrollment application. Michael D. Michelsen has 25.425 years of credited service. He has elected to participate in the D.R.O.P. on December 1, 2011. He chose to participate in the D.R.O.P. for a period of sixty (60) months. The action requested of the Board is to approve the application for enrollment in D.R.O.P. retirement submitted by Michael D. Michelsen, Police Officer. Det. Brandon Keefer moved to approve the D.R.O.P. enrollment application submitted by Michael D. Michelsen, Police Officer. City Manager Ed Beasley seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Review and Approval of Application for Retirement from the Deferred Retirement Option Plan ("D.R.O.P.")—Preston Lee Becker The Local Police Board reviewed Preston Lee Becker's D.R.O.P. retirement application. Preston Lee Becker has elected to retire from the D.R.O.P. and terminate his employment with the Glendale Police Department on December 31, 2011. On April 23, 2008, the Local Police Board had approved Preston Lee Becker into the D.R.O.P. At that time, he had completed 32 years of credited service. The action requested of the Board is to approve the application for retirement from D.R.O.P. and lump sum distribution for Preston Lee Becker, Assistant Police Chief. Det. Brandon Keefer moved to approve the D.R.O.P. retirement application submitted by Preston Lee Becker, Assistant Police Chief. City Manager Ed Beasley seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously. Distribution of the PSPRS Board Meeting Calendar for 2012 The PSPRS Board Meeting Calendar for 2012 was distributed to the Board members. Brandon Keefer made a motion to adjourn the meeting. City Manager Ed Beasley seconded the motion.
