Glendale Ave. Glendale, AZ MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Clark, Citizen Board Member and Acting Chair Lt. John Wolfe, Police Board Member Det. Brandon Keefer, Police Board Member STAFF PRESENT: Jim Brown, Asst. Human Resources Director and Acting Board Secretary Nick DiPiazza, Chief Deputy City Attorney Marcia Zientek, Human Resources Support Staff MEMBERS ABSENT: Mayor Elaine Scruggs, Chair City Manager Ed Beasley, Board Member Call to Order Larry Clark, Acting Chair, called to order the Local Police Board meeting at 9:13 a.m. Review and Approval of the May 25,2011 Local Police Board Meeting Minutes The minutes of the May 25, 2011 Local Police Board meeting were reviewed. Lt. John Wolfe moved to accept the minutes as presented. Det. Brandon Keefer seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously. Review and Approval of Application for Normal Retirement—Laura M. Trammel The Local Police Board reviewed Laura M. Trammel's Application for Normal Retirement. Laura M. Trammel, Police Sergeant, has completed 27.016 years of credited service. She is scheduled to retire from the Glendale Police Department on July 28, 2011. She has been a member of the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System since July 23, 1984. Lt. John Wolfe made a motion to approve the Application for Normal Retirement submitted by Laura M. Trammel, Police Sergeant. Det. Brandon Keefer seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously. Page 1 of 2 PSPRS Local Police Board Meeting Minutes 6/22/2011 Review and Approval of Application for Separation Refund from Public Safety Personnel Retirement System ("PSPRS")—Chris Balmaceda The Local Police Board reviewed the Application for Separation Refund from the "PSPRS" for Chris Balmaceda, Police Officer. Chris Balmaceda certified that he has not been accepted for employment with any other Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) employer and has not previously received a refund of his accumulated contributions to the PSPRS. Human Resources certified that Chris Balmaceda's last date of employment was April 15, 2011. Det. Brandon Keefer made a motion to approve the Application for Separation Refund from PSPRS submitted by Chris Balmaceda, Police Officer. Lt. John Wolfe seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously. New Business The Board received a copy of the April/May 2011 PSPRS Local Board Newsletter which noted that Senate Bills 1317 and 1609 had been signed into law by the 50th Legislature—First Regular Session. The general effective date for the legislation will be July 20, 2011. There were no questions. There was no other business. Adjournment Larry Clark, Acting Chair, asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Lt. John Wolfe made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Det. Brandon Keefer seconded the motion.
