Glendale Ave. Glendale,AZ MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Elaine Scruggs, Present Telephonically Larry Clark, Citizen Board Member and Acting Chair Mark Manor, Fire Board Member STAFF PRESENT: Jim Brown, Asst. Human Resources Director and Acting Board Secretary Nick DiPiazza, Chief Deputy City Attorney Patty Frey, Deputy Fire Chief Marcia Zientek, Human Resources Support Staff MEMBERS ABSENT: City Manager Ed Beasley, Board Member Call to Order Larry Clark, Acting Chair, called to order the Local Fire Board meeting at 9:02 a.m. Review and Approval of the February 23,2011 Local Fire Board Meeting Minutes The minutes of the February 23, 2011 Local Fire Board meeting were reviewed. Mark Manor moved to accept the minutes as presented. Mayor Elaine Scruggs seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously. Review and Approval of Application for Retirement from Deferred Retirement Option Plan ("D.R.O.P.")—John E. Holland The Local Fire Board reviewed John E. Holland's D.R.O.P. retirement application. John E. Holland, Fire Captain, has 27.562 years of credited service. He had elected to participate in the D.R.O.P. for a period of sixty (60) mont s beginning on January 14, 2011. On or after this date, employee and employer contributions ceased to be ade into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System ("PSPRS."). He was required to terminate empl yment with the City of Glendale Fire Department on or before January 31, 2016. John E. Holland has been a member of the PSPRS since June 24, 1983. Mark Manor motioned to approve the D.R.O.P. retirement application submitted by John E. Holland, Fire Captain. Mayor Elaine Scruggs seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously. Adjournment Larry Clark, Ai ting Chair, asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mark Manor made a motion to adjourn the meeting. ayor Elaine Scruggs seconded the motion.
