VII. 2007 GLENDALE FAMILY BIKE RIDE
Steve Hancock updated the Committee on preparations for the Glendale Family Bike Ride. He displayed
one of the 2007 ride t-shirts, noting that they had been printed and delivered. He then handed out aerial
maps of the Sahauro Ranch Park soccer field with a layout for the placement of tents, inflatable devices,
and indications of where the disc jockey, steel band, registration tables, and GO Public Meeting would be
set up. Steve stressed that CBAC volunteers needed to be familiar with the layout because he would not
always be on site in the early stages of the ride. He asked for cell phone numbers so everyone could stay in
touch while he was out setting up the rest stops and monitoring the ride. Steve said that everything was
looking good for the ride with over 321 people already pre-registered. He anticipated over 500 people
could show up for the ride if the weather was not too hot or wet. Bill Wilkinson asked Betsy Turner if she
knew how many Glendale Family Bike Rides had occurred. Betsy said she wasn't sure but that they had
been held as far back as when Susan Bookspan was the Glendale Bike Coordinator.
