IX. OTHER BUSINESS
Ed Cure said that there was no access into Thunderbird Park for road bikes. He said he had
spoken to the Director of Parks and Recreation and that she had suggested that the CBAC request
improvements for road bike access. Steve Hancock said that he would draft a letter for Michael
Woods's signature if Ed would provide him with more specific information on the issue. Ed
raised another issue, noting that a segment of concrete path extends from the Skunk Creek
pathway, south on 55th Avenue, and then abruptly ends after 30 or so feet. He said he thought the
path should be extended all the way to Union Hills so it would connect to the 55th Avenue bike
route south of Union Hills.
Brian Kanitsch said that the Tour De Tempe will be on October 23rd and encouraged other
members to go.
Betsy Turner said that there were no good, Sunday home games in April for the Valley Bike Week
