Glendale Ave. Glendale, AZ MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Elaine Scruggs, Present Telephonically Larry Clark, Citizen Board Member and Acting Chair Lt. John Wolfe, Police Board Member STAFF PRESENT: Jim Brown, Asst. Human Resources Director and Acting Board Secretary Deborah Robberson, Deputy City Attorney Marcia Zientek, Human Resources Support Staff MEMBERS ABSENT: City Manager Ed Beasley, Board Member Det. Brandon Keefer, Police Board Member Call to Order Larry Clark, Acting Chair, called to order the Local Police Board meeting at 9:15 a.m. Review and Approval of the January 26,2011 Local Police Board Meeting Minutes The minutes of the January 26, 2011 Local Police Board meeting were reviewed. Lt. John Wolfe moved to accept the minutes as presented. Mayor Elaine Scruggs seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously. Review and Approval of Application for Enrollment into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan ("D.R.O.P.")—Brent W. Coombs The Local Police Board reviewed Brent W. Coombs' D.R.O.P. enrollment application. Brent W. Coombs, Police Sergeant, has 25.005 years of credited service. He has elected to participate in the D.R.O.P. for a period of sixty (60) months beginning on March 5, 2011. On and after this date, employee and employer contributions will cease to be made to the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System ("PSPRS"). He must terminate employment with the City of Glendale Police Department on or before March 5, 2016. He has been a member of the Glendale Police Department since April 18, 1986. Lt. John Wolfe moved to approve the D.R.O.P. enrollment application submitted by Brent W. Coombs, Police Sergeant. Mayor Elaine Scruggs seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Page 1 of 2 PSPRS Local Police Board Meeting Minutes 2/23/2011 Review and Approval of Application for Retirement from Deferred Retirement Option Plan ("D.R.O.P.")—Eric C. Snell The Local Police Board reviewed Eric C. Snell's D.R.O.P. retirement application. Eric C. Snell, Police Sergeant, has 25 years of credited service. He had elected to participate in the D.R.O.P. for a period of sixty (60) months beginning on February 28, 2006. On or after this date, employee and employer contributions ceased to be made into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System ("PSPRS"). He must terminate employment with the City of Glendale Police Department on or before February 24, 2011. Lt. John Wolfe moved to approve the D.R.O.P. retirement application submitted by Eric C. Snell, Police Sergeant. Mayor Elaine Scruggs seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously. New Business There was no new business. Adjournment Larry Clark, Acting Chair, asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Lt. John Wolfe made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mayor Elaine Scruggs seconded the motion.
