Call to Order
Mayor Elaine Scruggs, Chair, called to order the Local Fire Board meeting at 9:04 a.m.
Review and Approval of the April 28,2010 Local Fire Board Meeting Minutes
The minutes of the April 28, 2010 Local Fire Board meeting were reviewed. Mark Manor moved to accept
the minutes as presented. John Holland seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion
unanimously.
Review and Approval of Application for Enrollment into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan
("D.R.O.P.")—Patrick J. Becker
The Local Fire Board reviewed Patrick J. Becker's D.R.O.P. application. Patrick J. Becker, Fire Battalion
Chief, has 32.000 years of credited service. He had elected to participate in the Deferred Retirement Option
Plan ("D.R.O.P.") for a period of sixty (60) months effective June 18, 2010. On and after this date, the
employee and employer contributions would cease to be made to the Public Safety Personnel Retirement
System ("PSPRS"). He must terminate employment with the City of Glendale Fire Department on or before
June 18, 2015. Patrick J. Becker has been a member of PSPRS since November 29, 1976.
Mark Manor motioned to approve the D.R.O.P. enrollment application submitted by Patrick J. Becker, Fire
Battalion Chief. John Holland seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously.

The Local Fire Board reviewed Mark S. Burdick's D.R.O.P. application. Mark S. Burdick, Fire Chief, has
27.370 years of credited service. He had elected to participate in the Deferred Retirement Option Plan
("D.R.O.P.") for a period of sixty (60) months effective May 28, 2010. On and after this date, the employee
and employer contributions would cease to be made to the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System
("PSPRS"). He must terminate employment with the City of Glendale Fire Department on or before May 28,
2015. Mark S. Burdick has been a member of PSPRS since January 14, 1983.
John Holland motioned to approve the D.R.O.P. enrollment application submitted by Mark S. Burdick, Fire
Chief. Mark Manor seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously.
Review and Approval of Application for Enrollment into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan
("D.R.O.P.")—Scott Phillips
The Local Fire Board reviewed Scott Phillips' D.R.O.P. application. Scott Phillips, Fire Captain, has 32.000
years of credited service. He has elected to participate in the Deferred Retirement Option Plan ("D.R.O.P.")
for a period of sixty (60) months effective June 30, 2010. On and after this date, the employee and employer
contributions would cease to be made to the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System ("PSPRS"). He must
terminate employment with the City of Glendale Fire Department on or before June 30, 2015. Scott Phillips
has been a member of PSPRS since June 24, 1980.
Mark Manor motioned to approve the D.R.O.P. enrollment application submitted by Scott Phillips, Fire
Captain. John Holland seconded the motion. The Board voted and passed the motion unanimously.
