CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Commissioners Present: Chairperson Kolodziej (Yucca), Vice Chairperson Spitzer (Barrel),
Commissioner Petrone (Cholla), Commissioner Sherwood (Sahuaro), Commissioner Hendrix (Ocotillo),

WORKSHOP ITEMS
APPLICATION PROCEDURES TRAINING
Staff gave presentations on application procedures on a variety of land use applications that addressed the
process for General Plan Amendments, Rezoning, Conditional Use Permits, Preliminary Plats, and Design
Review Applications. The purpose of the training was to ensure that the Commission understands the
complete staff work conducted prior to cases being heard at a public hearing.
REPORTS AND COMMENTS
Processing of minutes and procedures for quorum calls were discussed
EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Planning Commission will discuss and receive legal advice from the City Attorneys in connection
with the Open Meeting Law. (A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(3).
Upon a public majority vote of the Planning Commission members constituting a quorum, the
Commission may hold an executive session, which will not be open to the public, for any item listed on
the agenda, for any one of the following purposes:
(i) discussion or consideration of records exempt by law from public inspection (A.R.S.
§38-431.03(A)(2);
(ii) receiving legal advice from the City's attorneys (A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(3); or
(iii) discussion of consultation with the City's attorneys regarding the City's position
regarding contracts that are the subject of negotiations, in pending or contemplated litigation, or in
settlement discussions conducted in order to avoid or resolve litigation(A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(4).
