Scruggs, Vice Mayor Manuel D. Martinez, and Councilmembers Joyce V. Clark, Steven E. Frate, David M. Goulet, Yvonne J. Knaack, and H. Phillip Lieberman ALSO PRESENT: Ed Beasley, City Manager; Pam Kavanaugh, Assistant City Manager; Craig Tindall, City Attorney; and Pamela Hanna, City Clerk 1. SEWER SERVICE IN LOOP 303 CORRIDOR—30 MINUTES CITY STAFF PRESENTING THIS ITEM: Ken Reedy, Deputy City Manager and Leyton Woolf, Woolf Logistics Development This is an opportunity for staff to provide City Council with a status report on discussions with an associated group of property owners regarding sewer service to lands located west and north of Luke Air Force Base, commonly referred to as the Loop 303 Corridor. This update will allow Council to provide guidance on a possible Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that would allow Global Water Resources, LLC, a private company, to provide sewer service to the Loop 303 Corridor. Staff is seeking guidance from Council to continue working with the partnership of property owners and Global Water Resources to develop a viable arrangement for sewer service in the area west and north of Luke Air Force Base in Glendale's Municipal Planning Area known as the Loop 303 Corridor. After discussion, Mayor Scruggs summarized it is the consensus of City Council to request the City Manager to have staff continue to work with the partnership of property owners toward developing a final MOU which will come to City Council, the MAG amendment and the Certificate of Convenience for the Corporation Commission as soon as possible.
