approved.
2 — Resignations: None to discuss
3 — Jamsheed to discuss future plans, Citizen's Bicycle Advisory Committee:
Jamsheed gave some background on the Bicycle Committee. He advised that before the
GO program they had a bike safety program. The bike safety program was then changed,
due to the GO money and the federal funds the city received. Jamsheed advised that the
committee has slowed down a little, due to lack of projects right now. This committee is
very active with transportation issues and is trying to preserve and continue making the
city a bicycle friendly community. Jamsheed stated that the City of Glendale is the only
city that has a Bicycle Advisory Committee. Jamsheed advised that if this committee did
not exist the bicyclist would loose their representation on transportation issues. Jamsheed
would like to see this committee only meet every other month, which we will look in to
the city ordinance and see if this could occur.
4 — Outcome of B&C Recruitment Fair: Kristen advised that we had 46 guests, 45
members, 23 staff member and received 13 applications from the recruitment fair. We
did receive a few applications from already existing members. The cost of this event was
approximately $2,500, which included the rental, refreshments, mailings, and specialized
invitations. Received several compliments from individuals about the refreshments that
were served. Existing members brought guests. Existing members talked to other
members on other boards and learned different things from each other. Kristen received
positive feedback from the staff and members on this event. Will look at doing this event
every other year or every 18 months.

is on May 29.
