This program would be set up to highlight and recognize former and current resident accomplishments. This would include brief biographical profiles on residents who can serve as role models for others. Some suggestions staff had on how to reach residents with this information are: • To invite former residents to share their experiences and accomplishments by giving presentations, or by being interviewed and their stories written. • A newsletter, published by the housing staff, to include current and past resident achievements. • Framing photos of former or current residents, with a brief description of their accomplishment. These photos would then be hung at the Housing Office so anyone coming in to the office can see what others are doing, or have done, before them. These are only a few suggestions that staff had for ways to reach residents to make them aware of this, "Heros of Housing" program. The Commission particularly liked the idea of starting a newsletter as a first step, and agreed that other methods should be initiated as the program progresses. This item had a vote of unanimous approval by the Commission. Expenditure/Revenue Report There was no report presented. Monthly Activity Report The Monthly Activity Report was reviewed and discussed; no action was required. Adjournment On motion by Haran, seconded by Houck, the meeting adjourned at 6:15 pm.
